Everyday Sunday Talks 2016 Swimwear

20/05/2016 Jennifer Braun

For the Nasri siblings, you could say apparel is in their blood.

Brothers and sisters Ranya, Nathalie, Jasmine and Elie Nasri, grew up surrounded and involved in their parents’ ready-to-wear business.

In 2014, the siblings took the initiative to launch their own line and set their efforts on the conception of a swimwear and leisurewear brand.

“We wanted to do, first of all, something very positive, that’s what came out of what we were thinking and feeling,” Ranya explains. “We love accompanying people on moments that are happy and that make them happy also, so swimwear and leisurewear is related to all those moments where you take time for yourself.”

That ambition combined with an interest in swimwear design and a clear gap in the market for quality and reasonably priced swimwear, led the siblings to the creation of Everyday Sunday.

For their latest summer 2016 collection, their objective was to create swimsuits that are ideal for all different body types.

“We think that every woman should be comfortable in the swimsuit she wears, and every woman should be able to find the swimsuit for her body shape,” Nathalie says.

The summer 2016 collection was inspired by various travel destinations, notably India, Spain and Mexico. That inspiration was translated throughout the collection into a mix of colours and prints varying from soft earth tones, to turquoise.

This week, I went straight to the source and chatted with Ranya and Nathalie from the Montreal-based company to help you find the swimsuit that will have you feeling the most confident this summer.

Pear shape

If you have a pear shape, your hips are noticeably wider than your shoulders. The Nasri sisters suggest that the Aztec Retro Bikini would be best suited for this shape. The bandeau bustier top offers some support thanks to the underwire, but it's still not designed for the biggest bust, while the high-waist bikini bottom with tummy control lining is loved by women of all ages, Rania says.

As its name suggests, the Aztec Retro Bikini has a retro feel, but with a modern twist. The bandeau top comes with two sets of straps in order to dress your bikini up or down, and wear your swimsuit in different ways.

Big Bust

If you are heavier on top, the Multiway Signature Bandeau top is ideal for small cup sizes all the way through to a D or E cup. The bandeau offers great support and its adjustable straps allow you to wear this bikini top four different ways. This top can be paired with Everyday Sunday’s regular bikini bottom for a regular rise and back coverage (see photo below).

Small Bust

If you’re built like me and you need little support on top, the Nasri sisters say you can enjoy the Spirit Crop Top Racerback (one of their best sellers), which has a nice sporty chic look in a tribal pattern. If you love this print, but you’re a bit bigger than an A cup, the Spirit Crop Top Tank offers more support thanks to wider straps and a wider elastic strategically placed under the bust. Mix and match both these tops with the Spirit Criss-Cross Bikini Bottom or the Beluga Multi Strings Bikini Bottom.

Can’t go wrong

The Nasri sisters insist that the Multiway Signature One Piece is flattering on a variety of body types. “When you wear it, you feel like a million bucks,” Nathalie says. Similarly, to the Multiway Signature Bandeau Top, this one piece can also be worn four different ways thanks to its adjustable straps. The black version is sure to make you feel glamourous, but if you’re feeling more bold, go turquoise
