Stars and glamour inside the Ritz-Carlton Formula One Grand Prix party

12/06/2016 Isabelle Racicot

Montreal’s Formula One Grand Prix weekend has come to an end. Once again, it was an action packed four days filled with food, glamour and excess.

I love the excitement that you can find in the city during this social event. Restaurants are crowded, parties are held across town and international stars are wandering the city, as are paparazzi. The excitement reminds me of the Cannes Film Festival. Whether you’re a fan of Formula One or not, many people show up just to see, be seen and to experience the madness of the Grand Prix.

I particularly love the Formula One Grand Prix kick-off party organized by the Ritz-Carlton. Every year, the hotel gathers guests from various circles of show business, sports and the fashion scene. In the past, I have crossed UFC champion Georges St-Pierre, Gayle King (Oprah Winfrey's BFF), hockey player PK Subban and more.

No surprise, once again this year the hotel was packed. Many guests arrived early in order to meet race car driver Jenson Button (pictured above). As usual, I spent the evening elbowing my way through the crowd without a precise destination.

In fact, like many, I walked everywhere, made small talk, danced, and finished the evening on the sofas in the mezzanine with some close friends all while eating poutine (after spending the night sucking my stomach in. As pictured below with Mitsou and Natasha Gargiulo).

Thanks to photos by Dominic Gouin, here’s a glimpse inside the party while it was in full swing. Do you recognize any stars?

Boxer Jean Pascal is in good company.

Yes that’s Brody Jenner, Caytlin Jenner's son.

The Dufour-Lapointe sisters (Maxime, Chloé, Justine), looking beautiful as usual.

Didier Drogba signed a number of autographs during the evening.

And the most rebellious of them all…

See you next year Grand Prix!

*I was very proud to be wearing a beautiful dress by Canadian designer Claudette Floyd for Rush Couture, accessories by Melanie Auld and pearls from Honora (from Joolz bar à bijoux).
