Cooking is fashionable. Everybody seems to be watching a cooking show or sharing a great recipe! I have tried to stop buying new cookbooks but it just seems impossible. I even bought a new cabinet to put them in.
Good news: Picoum has a new Foodie section with Nadia and Alexandre. I am so excited to have the time to try their recipes this week. Check them out: just by the pictures, we know their food is delicious.
And there are all these blogs that are marked as favourites in my computer.
Here are 5 of my essentials that allow me to travel the world :
-
Shutterbean. USA. My go-to blog every day. ALL her recipes are DELICIOUS and EASY to make. Browse around and you will fall for her. I bet you will you try a recipe within a week.
-
Jamie Oliver. England. I have loved him from the start with his casual rustic style. The secret to his success: lots of flavour thanks to fresh ingredients. Two unforgettable recipes: Chicken in milk and the Winter Bombe (before it’s too late), a spectacular dessert!
-
What Katie Ate. Australia. She has two cooking books and gets noticed for her amazing pictures. My comfort foods are salads and she makes wicked ones. Here: quinoa, lentils, asparagus and haloumi cheese.
-
Mimi Thorrison. France. She lives on a farm in the Medoc and her kitchen looks like a magazine spread. Even if you don’t cook, her pictures will allow you to travel. Go to all the food links she gives. A gold mine.
-
The first mess. Canada. Vegetarian and vegan recipes. Best Food Blog winner. Inspires us to cook in a different way.
Bon appétit !
